The project also proposes two new 765-500 kV-substations. The description of the "Mountain Stone Substation" (proposed to be constructed in Centre Township somewhere on the west side of the existing Juniata Substation) begins on page 9. I understand the proposed Mountain Stone Substation may require 100 to 150 acres of land.

Per the link below, on April 8, 2926, the PUC filed formal comments on the Kammer-Juniata Project with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).

I understand that the JV is currently studying the project routing and that the JV currently has no Certificate of Public Convenience (CPC) in our area.
Status as of June 2026, per the PA Office of Consumer Advocates
Kammer Juniata Transmission, LLC (KJT) is proposing the construction of a 765 kV transmission line traversing ten counties in Pennsylvania and one county in West Virginia. This line is projected to be 222 miles long, extending from the Kammer substation in West Virginia to the Juniata substation in Pennsylvania, at a projected cost of $1.7 billion.
On March 12, 2026, KJT filed for certain incentive rate treatments at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).
The OCA filed a Protest to FERC as to the incentive rates. That matter is pending at FERC.
